SPUT’s Gearing Up for a Fun-Filled Summer Program
As summer nears, the Saint Paul Urban Tennis staff is in full preparation mode. We have a busy summer ahead with Daytime and Evening Lessons across Saint Paul for ages 5-18, a variety of Camps for ages 8-12, and SPUTniks and Junior Team Tennis offered for our high-school youth. Camps this August will include a Middle School Girls Tennis and Leadership Camp, a STTEM (Science, Technology, Tennis, Engineering and Math) partnership camp with the Bakken Science Museum, and our Annual ACE (Academic Creative Engagement) Camps. Spots in our summer programs are filling up quickly, so make sure to secure your spot today!

SPUT Alumni Give Sage Advice to High School Youth in Final ‘SPUT Talk’
Warrior Leadership Academy high school youth gained insight into college life, and life after college, from four SPUT alumni in the last of five ‘SPUT Talks’ held Saturday, May 21. Amanye Reynolds, Kang Lee, Kevin Tran and Pajar Lee urged the students to “plan ahead,” “know your options” (for further education), “try new things and keep exploring,” “do something you are passionate about,” and “ask for help when needed.” The former SPUT players provided their own perspectives and answered students’ questions throughout the 90-minute session.
In addition to the Alumni Panel, the ‘SPUT Talks’ series connected youth with local professionals to learn how to make responsible financial decisions (budgeting, investing), and to develop a network to help them pursue future opportunities.
Feeling Lucky? Enter a Raffle for Courtside Seats at the 2022 U.S. Open!
The USTA Northern office (here in the Twin Cities) is hosting a raffle for two Courtside Seats at the U.S. Open in Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. Tickets include access to the all-inclusive Overlook (food and drinks) and grounds. The best news is: proceeds from any tickets purchased through Saint Paul Urban Tennis go directly to SPUT program scholarships!
The raffle winner will be able to choose a session of their choice over Labor Day Weekend. Raffle tickets may be purchased by clicking here: $20 for 1 ticket, $55 for 3 tickets, and $110 for 6 tickets. The raffle will close on Friday, June 10 and the winner will be notified on Wednesday, June 15.
