Saint Paul Urban Tennis never turns a player away based on ability to pay.  Help keep our programs affordable by donating! It is through the combined efforts of our community that we are able to make sure all youth in Saint Paul have access to quality youth programming.  

Volunteer/Mentor

Saint Paul Urban Tennis is nothing if not a team effort. It takes a community of support to ensure kids across Saint Paul and beyond have access to quality youth programming.  We need the support of invested volunteers to help us deliver our programs. Interested? Fill out the short survey below and one of our staff will reach out to you with opportunities.  We have volunteer opportunities for all levels of availability and commitment levels. Whether volunteering for a single event, being a reading program volunteer, or committing to mentor one of our program youth, we’re sure there is a fit for you.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

Summer Reading Volunteer

Help fight the summer slide by giving our youth access to reading opportunities! Summer Reading Volunteers commit to visiting a local programming site at least once per week to read for 1 hour.  We’ll provide the books all that’s required from you is a passion for developing kids interest in reading.

Commitment: 1x/Week for 6 weeks during summer programming

Events Committee Volunteer

Assist our staff in running events that promote and raise funds for our programs! We depend on fundraising and promotional events to keep our programs affordable for all families.  Be a part of our wonderful events team and make life skills and tennis available to all!

Commitment: Varies by event, we ask that volunteers for the Events Committee assist in the organizing and recruitment for at least one event per year.  

Volunteer Coach

Want to spread the joy of tennis? Become a volunteer coach and help youth and adults learn the valuable life skills that tennis provides.  We’ll provide you with the training and equipment necessary to do your best on court.

Commitment: Varies by availability, we ask that volunteer coaches commit to at least one 2 hour session per week for a six week period.
