Youth Tennis Camps
Achieve Your Academic and Athletic Goals with Our Youth Summer Camps
Saint Paul Urban Tennis offers a variety of different camp opportunities for Saint Paul youth. SPUT's half-day Academic Creative Engagement (A.C.E.) Camps combine tennis lessons with fun off-court activities that inspire kids to develop a love of learning. A few years ago, we expanded our camp offerings to include the "I'm Next" Middle School Girls Tennis and Leadership Camp which is made possible through a partnership among SPUT, Inner City Tennis, Fred Wells Tennis and Education Center, USTA Northern, and Her Next Play. In 2022, we also partnered for the first time with The Bakken Science Musem to put on a STTEM (science, technology, tennis, engineering, and math) camp for ages 8-12. To find out if your child is eligible for these camp offerings, reach out to us at admin@urbantennis.org.

ACE Camp
Academic Creative Engagement (ACE) Camps integrate tennis with fun off-court math, science, literacy, and creative expression activities to inspire kids to develop a love of learning. ACE Camps are ideal for ages 8-12, with youth being split into age and ability appropriate groups. SPUT directs two weeks of ACE Camps each summer. They are half-day camps running from 8:30am to 12:30pm, Monday thru Thursday with lunch provided each day. The first camp takes place August 7-10 and the second on August 14-17. The cost to join ACE Camp is $180, but income-based scholarships are available with no application necessary. Sign up below and join us for a summer of fun!

"I'm Next" Camp
Saint Paul Urban Tennis, Her Next Play, The Fort, InnerCity Tennis, and USTA Northern partnered to create a Tennis and Leadership Camp for Middle School Girls. The camp was created in 2020 with the goal of connecting middle school girls from under-represented communities with women coach mentors at a week-long tennis and leadership experience. On-court, girls focus on improving a different tennis skill each day while off-court they engaged in workshops that create a safe space for them to learn, share, and connect with facilitators and each other. Now branded as the "I'm Next" Camp, this camp has become a staple program for SPUT.

STTEM Camp
The STTEM Summer Camp (science, technology, tennis, engineering and math) is a collaboration between The Bakken Museum and SPUT to provide an opportunity for youth ages 8-13 to play tennis and design, build, and showcase their very own inventions. Campers will practice creative thinking and problem-solving skills, make magic tricks, and play games while exploring STEM concepts in a fun, engaging environment. Youth will also participate in two separate sessions of tennis throughout the day. The camp will take place July 31 - August 4 from 9am-4pm at the Eastview Rec Center. Because of the high interest, participants must APPLY for a spot in the STTEM Camp and spots are NOT guaranteed. Priority will be given to BIPOC youth and those from low-income families. You will be notified by SPUT Program Director Marta Royaal if you receive a spot.
