Youth Programming

Saint Paul Urban Tennis offers a wide variety of programming for young people. Whether they are looking to try something new or get on a pathway to compete at the highest levels, there is something at SPUT for all youth. We offer three programming categories: Lessons, Camps, and Competition.

(psst... are you an out of school time provider? a P.E. teacher? a community organization? a recreation center? We love building partnerships! Email johnny@urbantennis.org to learn more about what we offer youth engagement organizations!)

Youth Lessons

Lessons are a great place for beginner and intermediate players to learn and grow their game. Our lessons offer a fun and friendly community environment focused on developing a player's tennis and life skills. Players will receive coaching on fundamentals, opportunities to drill and practice, tons of fun games, and will grow through our SPUT S.P.I.R.I.T (service, perseverance, integrity, responsibility, imagination, teamwork) Curriculum.

Fall 2020

Join us for our fall lesson series! Kids of all ages and abilities welcome. These lessons will build up beginners through agility, balance, and coordination activities while focusing on proper technique for sustained success down the road. Youth Camps

We are excited to offer a full summer's worth of half-day and full-day camps this year! Camps are one week long and rotate across the city. Camps will give kids a whole lot of tennis and tons of fun, enrichment activities.

Though camps are offered via open registration in the summer, we are excited to create camp opportunities across the Saint Paul community by partnering with schools, recreation centers, and community organizations. Email admin@urbantennis.org to learn more!

High Performance

Due to COVID-19, we weren't able to have our 2020 High Performance camp, but we are hoping we can implement them in Summer 2021!

Youth Competition

Our competition programs are for intermediate to advanced players who hope to play at a competitive level. We have advanced lessons for younger players and competitive team formats for older players. Competition players can expect targeted instruction and advanced drilling. Coaches at this level are highly experienced in tennis instruction and competitive play.
