All-City Tournament

The All-City Tournament is a chance for players all across Saint Paul to test their skills in a fun and safe environment. SPUT coaches will be on hand to guide players, whether this is their first experience or they are a match-play veteran. Matches will be held at Eastview Recreation Center and Harding HS on the Eastside of Saint Paul.

  • Saturday, July 17th: 14U and 18U Singles
  • Sunday, July 18th: 14U and 18U Doubles (New this year!)
  • Saturday, July 24th: 12U, 10U, 8U Singles

Arthur Ashe Essay Contest

The Arthur Ashe Essay Contest is an annual contest across the United States hosted by the USTA Foundation. As an NJTL member, Saint Paul Urban Tennis is able to submit entries from participants in our program to be considered for a trip to New York City!

This year's essay contest is about Robert Ryland:

Robert Ryland was an accomplished tennis player and coach. He was known for seeing the possibilities in those he coached and within himself. Mr. Ryland was the first African-American professional tennis player and the first African-American to play in the NCAA National Championships.

Essay Prompt: 

What facts about his story inspire you to break boundaries and excel in school, sports, and to follow your dreams? What are your possibilities?

How to participate:

Summer Carnival

Save the date! This year's summer carnival will take place July 30th from 10am - 2pm at Eastview Recreation Center. Join us for the day of fun activities including tennis games with your coaches, lawn games, a dunk tank, free cookies and pizza, food trucks, a reading tent, kickball, "clay court tennis", and so much more!
