Class Descriptions:
No racquets required. Scholarship assistance available. Classes take place in an indoor gym using mini-nets. Balls are age appropriate.
Munchkin Tennis:  We’ll work on basic athletic skills needed for tennis with a focus on developing agility, balance, and coordination.  Kids will also work on sending and receiving skills through a variety of racquet and ball activities.

Tennis 101:  In this class, kids new to tennis will learn the basic rules and work on being able to rally the ball with a partner.  We will focus on footwork, tracking, sending and receiving skills to develop consistency with forehand and backhand groundstrokes.

Tennis 201:  This class is for kids getting ready to enter age appropriate competition.  Students should have prior tennis experience and be able to maintain a groundstroke rally, so the focus will be on developing a more complete game with attention to the volley and serve.

Tennis 301:  Kids in this class have some competition experience and are looking to improve their games.  They are able to serve a ball in play and maintain a groundstroke rally but rarely force errors in their opponents.  In this class, we will reinforce fundamentals and start to work on more advanced technique and strategy.

Family Tennis:  Children (age 5 – 10) are invited to come to class and learn how to play tennis with an adult partner.  Basic fundamentals will be covered that will get players rallying by the end of the session.  Each class will focus on a different stroke:  Forehand, Backhand, Volley, Serve.  Get tips and activities that you can use with your kids outside of class and learn a sport that you’ll be able to play together for a lifetime.
