Staff

Becky comes to SPUT after nearly ten years working for USTA Northern, most recently as Director of Tennis Programs & Services, where she managed a team of five direct reports and several key initiatives. Prior to that, she taught tennis in both a public park and country club setting while playing tennis for the Mounds View Mustangs and UW-LaCrosse Eagles. She has a degree in Secondary Education and Spanish, is a member of the USTA's Adjunct Faculty, and is a certified PTR Professional. Her favorite tennis player is Rafael Nadal and a few of her favorite books are The Help by Kathryn Stockett and The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.

Tony Gatti, Program Coordinator - South Area
Tony has worked for SPUT for 18 years as an instructor and coordinator.  He is a special education teacher in West St. Paul, the girls’ tennis coach for Henry Sibley and a member of the USPTA.  He loves SPUT and all the great things that the program does for the kids of St. Paul.  His favorite tennis player growing up was Andre Agassi, and he liked the book Open because it gave an inside look at the life of a pro tennis player.

Marni Heck, Program Coordinator - Central Area
Marni has worked for SaSPUT for 19 years. When she is not working for SPUT, she is a Physical Education teacher in Minneapolis. She has experience coaching tennis and gymnastics and is a certified PTR Professional. Her favorite tennis player is Rafael Nadal because he believes hard work and tenacity cultivate success on and off court. Her favorite book is Winning Ugly by Brad Gilbert. Mental game is the toughest part of tennis. Marni's hobbies include playing USTA League tennis, weightlifting, fishing and spending time with family.

Bill Raymond, Program Coordinator - NorthEast Area
Bill has worked for SPUT for 16 years and for the Minneapolis Inner City Tennis Program before that. He is a long time high school tennis coach and taught history and special education for a number of years. His favorite tennis player was Vitas Gerulitis (who he believes made the most of his ability) and found Levels of the Game to be an interesting book about tennis.

Koua Yang, Program Coordinator - NorthWest Area
