This high energy fitness class combines tennis drills with cardiovascular exercise, delivering a full body, calorie burning workout! If you've never played tennis before, it's a great way to be introduced to the sport and if you are an experienced player, it is a great addition to your training regimen.
Beginner Tennis Lessons
Learn basic stroke production, scoring and strategy so that you are able to hit the courts and be successful.
This drill is for players with NTRP rating of 3.5 and higher. Work on fine tuning all aspects of your game: strokes and strategy and how to improve your game.
Sets in the City
For adults looking for a fun way to be active and connect with other recreational tennis players in the area. Players will be matched up according to ability for doubles and/or singles play and mix and split after a designated time period. Awards given for most sets won throughout the season. Two divisions offered. Suggested NTRP 3.0 - 4.0
St. Paul Urban Tennis is now running World Team Tennis (WTT)! WTT teams include at least two men and two women, and may include more players to allow for substitution during matches, vacation time, and to cheer on their fellow teammates. The fast-paced format also features no-ad scoring, playing of service lets, and tiebreakers played at five-all. Remembering WTT's unique rules is a fun challenge for everyone!
Teams compete weekly in one of four divisions: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 or 4.5 NTRP levels and winning teams at the 3.5 - 4.5 NTRP level are invited to participate in WTT Nationals in Indian Wells, California, October 31 - November 2, at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Companies that have participated in the past include Boston Scientific, Ecolab, Honeywell, LifeTime Athletic, Medtronic, OptumHealth, PTC, RBC, Target, Thompson Reuters, and Univita. We're always looking for more companies to join the fun and individuals to round out team rosters.
